This project produces on camera interviews of wounded Survivors of gun violence to record and preserve first hand the narratives and physical documentation of America’s wounded victims. This project will be affiliated with a carefully selected world class institution that has the technical skills to preserve and archive these stories and make them available to bona fide users.
The wounded Survivors of violence are often forgotten because they have “survived”, but their lives, dreams, and bodies are forever changed. This project will tell their stories before and after violence strikes. Their dreams, their daily struggles, the financial cost and emotional cost of surviving violence will be authentically told and archived for study.
“FROM EVERY WOUND THERE IS A SCAR, AND EVER SCAR TELLS A STORY. A STORY THAT SAYS, “I SURVIVED.””
